- Applicants are requested to submit their visa applications in advance of their departure date; as the visa processing time is minimum five working days.
- Prior appointment is necessary for in-person application submission.
- Visa is valid from the date of issue and not from the date of travel.
- Bangladesh High Commission, Manchester preserves right to determine type, category of visa and duration of stay. Therefore, Acceptance of visa application does not automatically guarantee grant of a visa.
- Visa processing fees is non-refundable, even the visa application is refused.
- A Foreign national who wants to visit Bangladesh for the purpose of tourism or meeting with friends & relatives or attending conference/workshop/study tour or religious purpose etc.
- A tourist visa may be issued for maximum three (03) months duration with single entry; it could be extended up to one (01) months from Department of Immigration and Passport (DIP) in Dhaka, Bangladesh.
- Please note that except the mentioned purposes of the application, no other activity is permissible; hence employment in Bangladesh paid or unpaid prohibited on a tourist visa.

Step-1: Fill-in Online Visa Application
- Please fill-in Visa Application by clicking the “Online Application” tab below. While filling in the form, please select required visa from the category.
- Before submission, please carefully check the spelling & accuracy of the information you have provided. Bring a print out of the dully filled-in submitted Visa application (with barcode printed on 4th page).
Step-2: Submission of VISA related Documents
- VISA application(s) may be submitted at the Assistant High Commission in person or can be sent by post along with required documents and fees.
Please carefully note the followings-
- Incomplete application or application with incorrect information or insufficient supporting documents will not be accepted. Applicant may be called for an interview, if necessary, by the visa issuing officer.
- The Assistant High commission reserves the authority to accept/ reject VISA application and request for additional document(s) at any stage of the process.
Following documents must be submitted along with Visa application-
- Print-out of duly filled-in and submitted online Visa application form with applicant’s signature on 3rd page;
- 01 (one) recent passport size (45X35 mm) colour photograph with white background;
- Passport (with at least for six months validity);
- Confirmation of Hotel Booking & Ticket Booking;
- Invitation letter from any Bangladeshi citizen/ organisation;
- Previous Passport and visa (if any) along with photocopy;
- Valid Passport Photocopy/ National ID card of inviting Person;
- Applicant’s employment letter;
- UK Proof of address such as Council Tax/ H M Revenue statement/ OR Latest Bank Statement/ OR Gas bill/ Electricity bill/ water bill/( Not more that 3 months old) OR Driving License Copy/ OR University letter mentioning UK address.
