Ms Ferdousi Shahriar
The Assistant High Commissioner joined Bangladesh Civil Service ( Foreign Affairs) in 1999. She obtained M.S.S in Diplomacy and International Trade from the Monash University in Melbourne, Australia in 2002. Earlier she completed her Bachelors and Masters Degree in Science from the University of Dhaka, Bangladesh.
The Assistant High Commissioner served as the Counsellor in the Embassy of Bangladesh in Rome, Italy in 2011-2014, She also worked as the Alternate Permanent Representative to FAO, IFAD, and WFP in Rome. Prior to that she served as the Director at the Foreign Secretaries office in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Dhaka in 2009-2011. She also worked as the First Secretary in the Embassy of Bangladesh in Thailand with additional responsibility of the Alternate Permanent Representative to the UNESCAP in Bangkok.
In the Ministry if Foreign Affairs, Ms Shahriar work under different capacities in the South Asia, SAARC, Africa, Parliamentary Affairs, Administration and Protocol Wings. She obtained various trainings related to Diplomacy, Negotiation, Dispute Resolution Mechanism in Singapore, the Netherlands and China.
She is married to Syed Moinul Hasan, Executive Engineer, Road & Highways Department and blessed with three children.
Her hobbies include reading books, listening music, travelling and cooking.
