UN And Other Int. Org. Visa

  • Generally, all foreign national need their valid passports to visit Bangladesh and citizens of most countries require valid visa to enter Bangladesh (except visa exemption/waiver agreement between two countries).
  • Applicants living in the following areas may approach Bangladesh Assistant High Commission, Manchester for consular services:
    North East & North West England: Northumberland, Durham, Tyne and Wear, Cumbria, Lancashire, Greater Manchester, Merseyside, Cheshire, North Yorkshire, West Yorkshire, South Yorkshire, Humberside, Derbyshire
    North Wales: Clwyd, Gwynedd
    Isle of Man and
    Scotland.

N.B.

  1. Applicants are requested to submit their visa applications in advance of their departure date; as the visa processing time is minimum five working days.
  2. Prior appointment is necessary for in-person application submission.
  3. Visa is valid from the date of issue and not from the date of travel.
  4. Bangladesh High Commission, Manchester preserves right to determine type, category of visa and duration of stay. Therefore, Acceptance of visa application does not automatically guarantee grant of a visa.
  5. Visa processing fees is non-refundable, even the visa application is refused.

  • Officials and staff members of UN and its affiliated organization, international or regional organizations/bodies, their spouses and their dependent family members who wants to go to Bangladesh for the purpose of employment/official duty (and accompanying/joining principal), they are eligible to apply for this category visa.
  • UN affiliated organization. i.e WHO, UNDP, FAO, UNFPA, ILO, UNICEF, UNESCO, IMF, World Bank, WFP, IDB; and International & Regional organization. i.e USAID, JICA, JBIC, DFID, CIDA, SIDA, DANIDA, PEACE CORPS, NORAD, FINNIDA, ICDDRB, ADB, RED CROSS/RED CRESENT. UN and other International Organizations visa may be issued for maximum five years with multiple entries.
  • Duration of stay in this category of visa is as required in each visit. Extension up to five (05) years could be obtained from Department of Immigration and Passport (DIP)in Bangladesh.

Step-1: Fill-in Online Visa Application

  • Please fill-in Visa Application by clicking the “Online Application” tab below. While filling in the form, please select required visa from the category.
  • Before submission, please carefully check the spelling & accuracy of the information you have provided. Bring a print out of the dully filled-in submitted Visa application (with barcode printed on 4th page).

Step-2: Submission of VISA related Documents

  • VISA application(s) may be submitted at the Assistant High Commission in person or can be sent by post along with required documents and fees.

Please carefully note the followings-

  • Incomplete application or application with incorrect information or insufficient supporting documents will not be accepted. Applicant may be called for an interview, if necessary, by the visa issuing officer.
  • The Assistant High commission reserves the authority to accept/ reject VISA application and request for additional document(s) at any stage of the process.

Step-3: VISA processing time

It takes minimum 5 (five) working days to process Visa application. However, it may sometimes take longer than usual.

Following documents must be submitted along with Visa application-

  1. Print-out of duly filled-in and submitted online Visa application form with applicant’s signature on 3rd page;
  2. 01 (one) recent passport size (45X35 mm) colour photograph with white background;
  3. Passport (with at least for six months validity);
  4. Note Verbal from the concern organization/ Office of UK or Ireland mentioning the applicant’s position, duration of stay and purpose of visit in Bangladesh;
  5. Previous Passport and visa (if any) along with photocopy.
